Emmy Awards Fashion

Rita Wilson in Prada
The Down Right Ugly: Crystal Goddess? I think not. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of adding a bit of sparkle and pizazz to any outfit, but is it really necessary to add it to an entire dress? and the shoes? Personally, I think its a bit over board - I can't see any crystal clear reason to wear this dress (pun intended). The icicle light overlay seems like a more appropriate adornment for a Christmas tree then a human body. (However, her husband, Tom Hanks, did look quite dashing!)

Naya Rivera

The Bad: I love, love, love the Glee girls, so this was definitely one of those moment when I was saying to myself "Noooo, I love her, why couldn't she have dressed better!?" This 80's prom dress inspired frock is just way way too much for the mind to process - from the overzealous use of fabric to her crazy high hair (which, might I add, looks like a homage to mickey mouse) I'm just not getting this look.

Heidi Klum in a Marchesa Micro Mini

The Good: For a mother of four, Heidi Klum looks killer in this beautiful (but tiny) dress! Perfectly accented by spiked Christian Louboutins and a Lorraine Schwartz ruby and diamond necklace, the nearly 6 foot model displayed legs that go on for days...and days...and days (I'm not jealous at all....).

Lea Michele in Oscar De La Renta

The Great: Although Lea wasn't an Emmy winner, she surely was a winner on the red carpet! The upper bodice of the dress perfectly accentuated the petite stars tiny frame, while the flowing ruffles cascaded down her lower body. Her flowing hair and pitch perfect makeup only accentuated this beautiful navy blue number. If only her Glee costar, Naya, was as fortunate.
